Portnox CMO appointment PR title

AUSTIN, Texas – April 14, 2026 – Portnox, a global leader in enterprise access control for every identity, today announced the appointment of Jonathan Skinner as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Skinner joins the executive leadership team to spearhead Portnox’s global marketing strategy, brand positioning, and go-to-market execution as the company scales to meet surging enterprise demand for unified, cloud-native access control.

The appointment comes at a pivotal moment in cybersecurity. As attack surfaces expand, organizations are struggling to secure a rapidly growing mix of human, machine, device, and emerging AI identities. Skinner will oversee the evolution of Portnox’s category leadership, focusing on the company’s ability to provide continuous, cloud-native authentication and control across networks, applications, and infrastructure.

“Jonathan is a marketing leader who knows how to turn strategy into sustained growth in cybersecurity,” said Denny LeCompte, CEO of Portnox. “He understands what it takes to scale enterprise platforms and align marketing with revenue. As organizations move away from legacy, on-premises access control, Jonathan will play a critical role in positioning Portnox at the center of a more modern approach to access—one that secures every identity, including AI.”

Skinner brings more than 20 years of experience in B2B SaaS and cybersecurity. Most recently, he served as CMO at LogicGate, where he repositioned the company as an enterprise GRC leader and transformed marketing into the primary driver of net-new pipeline. Previously, as CMO of Sectigo, he led a global rebrand and established the company as a leader in digital identity and certificate management. His career also includes leadership roles at Dropbox and Symantec.

“Portnox is uniquely positioned to solve the most pressing challenge in modern security: providing continuous, identity-driven trust across distributed environments without the ‘appliance tax’ of legacy hardware,” said Skinner. “I am thrilled to join a team that is not only leading the shift to certificate-based, passwordless authentication but is also at the forefront of securing the next generation of AI and machine identities. My focus will be on refining our go-to-market motion and ensuring Portnox is the clear choice for enterprises demanding agility, resilience, and a better user experience.”

Skinner’s arrival follows the recent appointment of industry veteran Kristen Knight to lead Portnox’s new Global Channel Partner Program. Together, these strategic hires underscore Portnox’s commitment to aggressive market expansion and its continued momentum, including three consecutive years of SC Awards for access control and inclusion on the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing companies in the U.S.

Delivered as a cloud-native service, Portnox Cloud unifies NAC, ZTNA, RADIUS, and TACACS+ into a single centralized interface. By accelerating the shift to certificate-based authentication, Portnox helps organizations deliver access to enterprise resources up to 80% faster while significantly reducing exposure to credential-based attacks.
