Portnox Sphere MSP/MSSP Channel Program Enables Partners to Deliver NAC-as-a-Service

Cloud-Delivered Network Access Control and Enhanced Wireless Controls Create New Revenue Streams for Service Providers and Makes NAC Accessible to Midsize Enterprises

NEW YORK, March 28, 2019 – Portnox, a leading provider of network access control, visibility and device risk management solutions, today announced a global partner program tailored to the needs of managed service providers (MSPs) and managed security service providers (MSSPs). The Portnox Sphere MSP/MSSP Program enables partners to deliver network access control (NAC) as a service from the cloud, without making any hardware or software investments.

According to MarketsandMarkets™, the global Managed Security Services market size was worth USD 20.81 Billion in 2017 and is expected to reach USD 47.65 Billion by 2023, growing at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 14.7% during the forecast period.

“Midsize enterprises are choosing Portnox because our technology can be deployed on-premise or as a cloud service, support any device from all access layers and eliminate the management complexity of other network access control products,” said Ofer Amitai, CEO and Co-Founder of Portnox. “We expect to extend our market lead in 2019 as more managed service providers adopt our cloud-delivered CLEAR product to offer NAC-as-a-Service.”

Using Portnox CLEAR, MSPs/MSSPs can centrally deploy, provision and manage NAC services to provide their end customers with complete visibility and control over all devices connecting to wired, wireless and VPN networks, including BYOD and Internet of Things (IoT) systems. Until now, the cost, complexity and ongoing management overhead of traditional NAC solutions has prevented many midsize organizations from deploying this foundational network security technology.

The Sphere MSP/MSSP Partner Program now makes it possible for organizations with limited IT resources to acquire NAC as a subscription service from qualified and trusted providers they may already be working with.

“today’s world is about mobility and cloud-centric work environments.  Often, WiFi is vehicle for these connections.  Our customers are battling to keep up with the growing number of on-premise and remote devices they are required to maintain and manage.  To that end, network access control has become the gotta-have technology for these customers,” said Niccolo Alicandri, CBO for CipherTechs. “The Portnox CLEAR technology enables our clients to enforce NAC from the cloud to businesses anywhere in the US.”

“Since employees access corporate data from managed and unmanaged devices, network access control has become top-of-mind many of our partners,” said Nathan Heintzeman, Business Analyst for Symplexity. “Portnox CLEAR minimizes the complexity of NAC, while providing in-depth security, visibility and device risk management.”

The Portnox MSP/MSSP Program includes the following elements to create a profitable recurring revenue stream for managed service providers:

  • Lower administrative overhead with flexible payment options that remove up-front costs of annual contracts. With SaaS pay-as-you-go subscriptions, users only pay for what they need
  • Single pane of glass to manage all customers via a unified management portal. The management portal enables single-sign-on, customization and configuration for each MSP customer
  • Unique MSP pricing model – discounts are based on the total amount of devices under management (not per organization under management) as well as an additional MSP partnership level discount
  • Tailored security stacks: provide the ability to customize security integrations to implement unique solution stacks based on customer and partner requirements. A documented RESTful API is available for MSPs
  • Sales tools and dedicated marketing support
  • Dedicated customer support resources for partners

Portnox and Microsoft Azure

Portnox CLEAR, the First Cloud-Delivered Network Access Control Solution is Now Available at Microsoft Azure Marketplace and MS AppSource

By | press releases | No Comments

New York, November 14, 2018Portnox, a market leader for network visibility, access control and device risk management solutions, today announced the availability of the Portnox CLEAR solution on Microsoft Azure Marketplace and the Microsoft AppSource.

To date, CLEAR is the only NAC as-a-Service solution provided in the Azure Marketplace and the Microsoft AppSource. As a SaaS solution, CLEAR is always running the latest version, latest security and latest features with seamless upgrades.

Portnox CLEAR, the first cloud-delivered network access control solution, offers Azure Marketplace and AppSource users a complete view of the network and visibility into all devices, as well as the ability to mitigate device risk by coping with threats in real time. Additionally, users can automate network access and on-boarding scenarios for employees, contractors, guests and non-corporate machines, on or off premise. Key features include expanded threat management, breach remediation, network access control, and automated implementation of compliance protocols.

Today’s geo-distributed and highly mobile workforce requires network access via different types of endpoints (corporate issued, BYOD and IoT) and via multiple access layers (VPN, wired, wireless or cloud). CLEAR augments network security by providing continuous endpoint visibility, including real-time risk assessments in all locations, device discovery and visibility of all endpoints, including Internet of Things (IoT) and BYOD. Unique risk-scores are generated for each device based on its security posture in conjunction with contextual behavior patterns. If the risk-score is too-high, CLEAR will not allow access or will allow limited access by quarantining the endpoints to a certain VLAN. If the risk-score is low – CLEAR continues to monitor the endpoint. Additionally, with automated threat response, CLEAR prompts patching, anti-virus and OS updates based on company policy, thereby making it more challenging for cyber offenders to exploit vulnerabilities.

QUOTE
“With the influx of connected devices on the corporate network, reaching 200 billion connected devices by 2020, and geo-distribution of organizations a common phenomenon, today’s workforce is increasingly complex and difficult to secure. All organizations need total visibility into their networks and every endpoint. Portnox is committed to making endpoint visibility and access control easier than ever before by having real-time rapid response capabilities as well as risk-mitigation tools. Our app for the Palo Alto Networks Application Framework will further help us provide complete visibility and control, keeping more enterprises safe and secure.”

Portnox Announces New Risk-Based Authorization via NAC As-a-Service Solution for Companies Using Microsoft DirectAccess

By | press releases | No Comments

New  solution leverages Portnox CLEAR, a cloud-delivered Network Access Control solution, for increased network visibility, threat detection and enforcement for companies using Microsoft DirectAccess

ANAHEIM, Calif.–Portnox, a market leader for network visibility, access control and device risk management solutions, announced today a solution offering advanced network protection and control to organizations using Microsoft DirectAccess. In August 2018 the solution has been made available through premium partners and leading managed service providers such as Celestix and offers a unified platform that includes Microsoft DirectAccess with Portnox’s cloud-delivered network access control (NAC) solution, Portnox CLEAR.

According to IDC, mobile workers will account for nearly 73 percent of the US workforce by 2020. Organizations with decentralized structure and multiple locations deal with different security issues and risks on the network. To monitor for and combat these risks, Portnox’s NAC as-a-Service solution, Portnox CLEAR, offers all the benefits of traditional on-premise NAC solutions, delivering visibility and risk monitoring capabilities from the cloud. Microsoft DirectAccess is a remote access solution, offering geographically distributed enterprises corporate access to remote endpoints. By utilizing Portnox CLEAR, DirectAccess customers will also have increased visibility into all devices on the network, including BYOD, Internet of Things (IoT), mobile and managed devices.

The new solution provides robust and pervasive risk assessment and management to all levels of access from the cloud and across all network devices. This deep visibility into device activity and network traffic provides early warning of risky devices. Once a device with a high risk-score is detected, Portnox allows security teams to immediately remediate issues by segmenting or blocking devices from accessing the network, thus shutting down an attack before the attackers achieve their goals.

QUOTES

  • “Hackers are becoming more skilled at infiltrating the enterprise network, and as companies expand and open new locations, securing the entire network is more difficult than ever before.  “We are committed to helping enterprises implement easy-to-deploy network security solutions that stop an attack before it escalates, regardless of where the at-risk device may be located. By deploying NAC from the cloud, the new solution that works with Microsoft DirectAccess helps organizations to gain complete visibility, detection and control of risks to the network.”
    • Ofer Amitai, CEO, Portnox
  • “NAC as-a-Service is fully compatible with our Always On VPN with Microsoft DirectAccess, This is crucial protection for today’s decentralized enterprises where out-of-date software, plugins, and browsers, plus unpatched and unprotected systems leave remote employees extremely vulnerable to cyber-attacks. Businesses today must have full visibility of their network endpoints, giving IT departments the contextual endpoint knowledge required to know that their data and networks are secure.”
    • Yong Thye Lin, CEO, Celestix
